In the life of 12-year-old Ben, who sings in a rock band, is witty and loves to cook, comes a revolution. Not only does he fall in love with a classmate, but he decides to lose weight.

For someone who is in their element in the kitchen, it is difficult to go on a diet. Nevertheless, Ben decides to take up the challenge  – and not just at the insistence of the school nurse. The boy wants to start a new phase in his life. He’ll finally get rid of the bullying from his mean P.E. teacher and impress his first love, Clara. But keeping discipline is no piece of cake when the snack machine keeps smiling at him in the corridor and a visit to his grandmother equals a big feast.
