A workshop that forms part of a recent performance created by Argentinian artist Tiziano Cruz “Wayqeycuna’”. Its aim is to bring together art, the local community and site of a specific performance. During the workshop, we can take a closer look at food preparation practices, such as bread baking, also as a tradition related to the commemoration of deceased loved ones. It’s a chance to act together and cross the barrier that usually divides art and community. At each site where he shows his performance, Tiziano Cruz seeks out the local community and audience to meet with them in a pre-show workshop and together prepare loaves of sacrificial bread, which will become part of the  “Wayqeycuna” performance presented later on stage.

Tiziano Cruz is from Argentina and is an interdisciplinary artist combining theatrical and visual means of expression, performance and artistic interventions in public space. His work has been presented in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Finland and the USA.
